Sourcing
Every piece is traced to the cluster and the weaver who made it. We buy directly from weaving families rather than through agents, at a price agreed with the weaver instead of pushed down by a buyer. That means we carry small quantities and irregular stock, and it means the money reaches the loom. We travel to the clusters, look at the cloth in person, and take what is good rather than ordering to a spec sheet. Kota Doria, Bhagalpuri tussar, Kashmiri kashidakari, Bengal cotton — each comes from people we have met.
